The new Mercedes-Benz GLE arrives in 2020 in the form of a brand-new generation model that has been completely redesigned in every regard. The new GLE is larger, more upscale, has more technology and is more refined than ever both inside and out. The GLE is all-new, and yet it also retains the characteristics of comfort, performance, and luxury that have made it so successful over the years. Thanks to a range of new technologies including Mercedes-Benz User Experience, the new GLE is more connected than ever as well.
The GLE will eventually be offered with a range of AMG versions, but for now, the two options are the Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 4Matic and the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4Matic. Both are priced more competitively than the BMW X5 or Audi Q7, and both offer an impressive combination of luxury and performance.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 is powered by a 2.0-litre inline-4 turbo that develops 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque which is enough power to get to 100 km/h in roughly 7.0 seconds. The other option currently offered in the 2020 GLE range is the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4Matic which uses a 3.0-litre, inline-6 with 362 horsepower. Fast enough to reach 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds, the new GLE 450 4Matic is priced at $72,000 while the GLE 350 4Matic starts at $64,000 which is $7,000 less than the BMW X5.
Offering room for either 5 or 7 passengers, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE also offers between 630 and 2,055 litres of cargo capacity which means it will be able to follow your active lifestyle with ease. Inside the Mercedes-Benz GLE is a brand-new, very modern cockpit that features exclusive technologies such as the new Mercedes-Benz User Experience system. The latter offers a range of voice commands and artificial intelligence functions to adapt to the user and make modifying functions and settings easier.
